The parts are constructed using steel and aluminum although other materials may be used in cheaper versions. A replacement material is hard plastic which does not catch rust just like aluminum and is durable as well as less expensive. It can be found in electric lawn mowers as opposed to aluminum and steel in hydrostatic ones.
